Drew Brees added a rushing touchdown of his own to make that 6 rushing touchdowns against thew Bills defense. In total the Saints offense rushed for 298 yards. Yikes.

Saints Time of Possession vs the Bills was Ridiculously Lopsided

The New Orleans Saints offense possessed the ball for 41 minutes and 23 seconds, leaving the Bills with a measly 18:37. The Saints' offensive line was pounding the Bills front 7 all game, helping the running backs go for 6.2 yards per carry.

Basically, the Saints were able to impose their will, rushing for 20 first downs compared to the Bills' two. The teams ended the day 32-10 on total first downs in the Saints' favor.

Why Pass When The Offensive Line is Dominating?

Drew Brees somehow had a rare 0 touchdown pass performance in a game that saw the Saints offense score 47 points on a cold afternoon in hostile territory at New Era Field in Orchard Park, NY.

Michael Thomas was there when he was needed, turning in a 9 catch, 103 yard day.

SERIES HISTORY

The Saints and Bills have met ten times with New Orleans holding a 6-4 lead riding a four-game winning streak in the series. The Saints have a 4-1 record in contests played at New Era Field.

Two of the games have been decided by a touchdown or less, one by four points. The teams first faced off in 1973, as the Saints recorded a 13-0 shutout, the first in club history. The teams did not meet again for seven years.

Game Notes for Saints vs Bills Week 10 2017

  • With the win, New Orleans moves to 7-2. It is the Saints' first seven-game winning streak since an eight-game winning streak to close out the 2011 regular season. Also, Sunday's win marked the fifth-longest winning streak in franchise history with a seven-game run from September 11- October 23, 1988.
  • The Saints take on the Washington Redskins for a week 11 matchup on Sunday, Nov. 19 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Kickoff is set for noon. The game will be aired on Fox (WVUE-Fox-8 in the New Orleans area).
  • The Saints currently have a streak of 249 games without having been shut out, dating back to a 26-20 win at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 6, 2002 at Raymond James Stadium, the longest running streak in the National Football League.
  • Sunday is the fourth consecutive contest that the Saints have surrendered 17 points or less, the first time they have done so in four straight games since they did so since the first four games of the 2013 campaign.
  • At 7-2, the Saints' win total is tied for the third-best nine-game start in club history, joining the 1988, 1992, 2002 and 2013 clubs. New Orleans opened 2009 at 13-0 and 1991 at 8-1.
